Brand History

The Goodyear Story

Founded in Akron in 1898 and named after Charles Goodyear, who discovered vulcanised rubber, the company grew into America's largest tyre maker. Its winged-foot logo references the Roman god Mercury, and the Goodyear blimp has been an airborne fixture at US sporting events since the 1920s.

Current Lineup

Goodyear is the exclusive tyre supplier to NASCAR and competes in endurance racing; it also owns Dunlop rights in North America and the Cooper Tire brand.
