Brand History
The LaSalle Story
LaSalle was launched by General Motors in 1927 as a companion marque to Cadillac, priced just below its senior sibling. Its first model, styled by Harley Earl, is widely regarded as the first mass-produced American car shaped by a professional designer, and its success led GM to create its influential Art and Colour design department.
Current Lineup
GM discontinued LaSalle after the 1940 model year as Cadillac's own range expanded downward.
