Brand History

The Lister Story

Lister was founded in 1954 by Brian Lister in Cambridge, England, as a builder of lightweight sports racing cars. The Jaguar-engined Lister 'Knobbly' of the late 1950s, driven by Archie Scott Brown, became one of the most successful British sports racers of its era. The name was revived several times, notably for the Lister Storm GT car of the 1990s, and in 2013 the Lister Motor Company was relaunched under new ownership.
