Brand History
The NEVS Story
National Electric Vehicle Sweden (NEVS) was founded in 2012 to acquire the assets of bankrupt Saab Automobile in Trollhättan, with the aim of building electric cars based on the Saab 9-3. It produced small numbers of 9-3-derived EVs and developed projects such as the Emily GT prototype. China's Evergrande Group became its majority owner in 2019, but the parent's financial collapse cut off funding.
Current Lineup
NEVS has largely been wound down, selling off its Trollhättan facilities and licensing out its projects after Evergrande's crisis ended volume production plans.
