Brand History
The Toyota Alphard Story
The Toyota Alphard is a luxury minivan introduced by Toyota in 2002, aimed at buyers seeking limousine-class comfort in a van format. Named after a star in the constellation Hydra, it became hugely popular in Japan and across Southeast Asia as an executive shuttle and family flagship, spawning the closely related Vellfire variant. Each generation has grown more opulent, with captain's chairs, premium audio, and chauffeur-oriented rear accommodations.

Current Lineup
The fourth-generation Alphard, launched in 2023 alongside the Vellfire, continues as Toyota's flagship minivan with hybrid powertrains and, in some markets, a Lexus LM sibling.
