Brand History
The ABT Story
ABT traces its roots to a blacksmith shop opened by Johann Abt in Kempten, Germany, in 1896. Under the Abt family the business evolved into ABT Sportsline, one of the best-known tuners of Volkswagen Group cars, offering engine, aerodynamic, and chassis upgrades primarily for Audi and VW models. The company also built a prominent motorsport operation, fielding successful teams in the DTM touring car series and later in Formula E.
Current Lineup
ABT Sportsline remains an active tuner of Audi, Volkswagen, and Cupra vehicles and continues its motorsport involvement.
