BharatBenz was launched in 2011 by Daimler as a truck and bus brand created specifically for the Indian market, its name combining 'Bharat' (India) with Mercedes-Benz heritage. Vehicles are engineered and built by Daimler India Commercial Vehicles at a plant in Oragadam near Chennai, blending German truck technology with local requirements and price points.
