Brand History
The Caterham Story
Caterham Cars, based in Caterham, Surrey, had been a leading Lotus dealer when it acquired the rights to the Lotus Seven from Colin Chapman in 1973 under Graham Nearn. The company has built and continuously refined the Seven ever since, keeping the minimalist 1957 design alive across decades of variants from gentle entry models to the ferocious 620R. Caterham briefly ran a Formula One team in the early 2010s under then-owner Tony Fernandes.
