Brand History
The Continental Story
Founded in Hanover in 1871, Continental produced the first patterned car tyre tread in 1904 and the first detachable rim. It has since grown far beyond rubber into one of the world's largest automotive suppliers, making braking systems, electronics and driver-assistance technology alongside tyres.
Current Lineup
Continental is Europe's largest tyre maker and a top-tier supplier of vehicle technology; its tyre brands include Uniroyal, Semperit, Barum and General Tire.
