Brand History
The Dodge Viper Story
The Dodge Viper began as a 1989 concept car, went down the line at New Mack in 1991 and reached customers as a 1992 model as a raw, back-to-basics American sports car with a massive V10 engine, whose aluminum development benefited from input from then-Chrysler-owned Lamborghini. Over five generations it evolved from a windowless roadster into a sophisticated track weapon, with ACR versions setting numerous production-car lap records. Production ended in 2017 when the Conner Avenue plant in Detroit closed.

The original snake's-head badge, nicknamed 'Sneaky Pete', fronted the first two Viper generations.
2003–2010
A redesigned, more aggressive snake emblem known as 'Fangs' accompanied the third and fourth generations.
2013–2017
The final generation wore the angular 'Stryker' snake logo, its outline subtly evoking the car's silhouette.
