The Hongyan Story
Hongyan is a Chinese heavy truck marque whose origins lie in a state truck plant established in the 1960s in the Chongqing region, which built heavy vehicles drawing on French Berliet technology. In the 2000s the business was restructured into a joint venture involving SAIC and Iveco, and it became known as SAIC Hongyan.
