Brand History

The Lloyd Story

Lloyd traces its origins to 1908 in Bremen, Germany, and became best known as part of Carl Borgward's group of companies after the Second World War. In the 1950s Lloyd built inexpensive small cars such as the LP 300 and LP 600, which helped motorize post-war Germany and made Lloyd one of the country's larger carmakers for a time.
