Brand History
The Pegaso Story
Pegaso was the vehicle brand of ENASA, a Spanish state enterprise formed in 1946 on the site of the former Hispano-Suiza truck works in Barcelona. While primarily a maker of trucks and buses, Pegaso stunned the automotive world with the Z-102 sports car of the 1950s, developed under engineer Wifredo Ricart, which was among the fastest production cars of its day. Sports car production ended in 1958 and the company concentrated on commercial vehicles.

ENASA was acquired by Iveco in 1990 and the Pegaso brand was phased out in the mid-1990s.
