The Perodua Story

Perodua (Perusahaan Otomobil Kedua, meaning 'second automobile enterprise') was established in 1993 as Malaysia's second national carmaker, with Daihatsu as technical partner and shareholder. Launching with the Kancil minicar in 1994, it focused on affordable compact cars based on Daihatsu platforms and eventually overtook Proton to become Malaysia's best-selling car brand, led by the Myvi hatchback.
