Brand History
The Subaru Story
Subaru emerged in 1953 from the merger of remnants of the Nakajima Aircraft Company. Its formula — boxer engines and symmetrical all-wheel drive — plus World Rally Championship glory with the Impreza WRX made it a cult brand, while the Outback and Forester built a fiercely loyal following in America.
