Brand History
The Triumph Motorcycles Story
Triumph built its first motorcycle in 1902 in Coventry and became one of Britain's most storied motorcycle marques, producing icons like the Speed Twin and Bonneville and gaining Hollywood fame through riders such as Marlon Brando and Steve McQueen. The original company collapsed in 1983, after which builder John Bloor acquired the name and relaunched Triumph in 1990 from a new factory in Hinckley with modern three- and four-cylinder machines. The reborn company made the three-cylinder engine its signature and restored Triumph to global prominence.
