Brand History
The Alta Story
Alta was a small British manufacturer founded in 1931 by engineer Geoffrey Taylor, building sports cars and single-seater racing cars powered by his own twin-cam engines. Alta engines and chassis appeared in early Formula 1, powering cars from HWM and Connaught, before the company faded away in the mid-1950s.

Current Lineup
Alta ceased operations in the mid-1950s as its small-scale racing business became uncompetitive.
