Brand History
The Aptera Story
Aptera Motors was founded in 2005 in Southern California by Steve Fambro and Chris Anthony to develop an ultra-efficient, aerodynamic three-wheeled vehicle. The original company folded in 2011 without reaching production, but the founders revived Aptera in 2019 to develop a solar-assisted electric three-wheeler with very long claimed range, funded largely through crowdfunding.
