Brand History
The Ariel Story
Ariel Motor Company was established in Somerset, England, in 1999 by designer Simon Saunders, reviving a storied British name that dated back to Birmingham bicycles and motorcycles of the 19th century. Its signature product, the Atom, launched around 2000, is a minimalist sports car with an exposed tubular frame and startling power-to-weight ratio, later joined by the off-road-oriented Nomad.
