Brand History
The ARO Story
ARO (Auto Romania) was a Romanian manufacturer of rugged four-wheel-drive vehicles based in Câmpulung, with production beginning in 1957. Its 24-series and smaller ARO 10 off-roaders were exported widely during the communist era, but the company declined after 1989 and collapsed following a failed privatization.
