Brand History

The Cisitalia Story

Cisitalia was founded in Turin in 1946 by industrialist and racing driver Piero Dusio. Its D46 single-seaters and especially the Pinin Farina-bodied 202 coupe of 1947 were hugely influential; the 202 was later displayed at the Museum of Modern Art in New York as a landmark of automotive design. An ambitious Porsche-designed Grand Prix project drained the company's finances, and Cisitalia declined through the 1950s before fading away in the early 1960s.

Current Lineup

Cisitalia ceased operations in the early 1960s after years of financial difficulty, but the 202 remains a touchstone of postwar Italian design.
