Brand History
The Dunlop Story
Scottish vet John Boyd Dunlop re-invented the pneumatic tyre in 1888 to smooth his son's tricycle ride; the business that took his name was incorporated the following year, in 1889, and became a giant of the early motor age. Dunlop tyres won countless Grands Prix and Le Mans victories through the twentieth century.
Current Lineup
The Dunlop name is now split by territory between Goodyear and Sumitomo Rubber Industries, and remains prominent in motorcycle racing and endurance categories.
