Brand History
The Fangchengbao Story
Fangchengbao (also rendered as Formula Bao) was launched by China's BYD in 2023 as a brand dedicated to rugged, off-road-capable vehicles built on plug-in hybrid and electric platforms. Its first model, the Bao 5, is a ladder-style hybrid off-roader aimed at buyers wanting serious trail ability with new-energy powertrains.
