Brand History
The Intermeccanica Story
Intermeccanica was founded in Turin in 1959 by Hungarian-born engineer Frank Reisner, initially producing tuning kits before progressing to complete cars. It became known for elegant Italian-bodied hybrids with American V8 power, such as the Italia and the Opel-based Indra. The company later relocated to North America, eventually settling in Vancouver, where it built well-regarded Porsche 356 replicas.
