Brand History
The Jensen Story
Jensen Motors was founded in 1934 in West Bromwich by brothers Alan and Richard Jensen, who had built coachwork before launching cars under their own name. The company also carried out major contract work, assembling bodies for cars such as the Austin-Healey and Volvo P1800. Its own grand tourers culminated in the V8-powered Interceptor of 1966 and the technically pioneering Jensen FF, the first production sports car with four-wheel drive and anti-lock brakes.

Jensen collapsed in 1976 amid the oil crisis and financial problems; several later revival attempts, including a short-lived S-V8, failed to restore volume production.
