Brand History
The Jeep Story
Jeep was born from the Willys MB military 4x4 of 1941, over 600,000 of which served with Allied forces. The civilian CJ arrived in 1945, creating the off-road vehicle market, and the 1984 Cherokee effectively invented the modern SUV. Passed from Willys to Kaiser, AMC, Chrysler and now Stellantis, Jeep remains one of the world's most recognised brands.
Logo History
Evolution Of The Jeep Logo

1941–1970
Early vehicles wore Willys branding; the round-headlight, seven-slot grille became the brand's true trademark.
1970–present
The simple Jeep wordmark introduced under AMC ownership is still used, alongside the seven-slot grille motif.
