Brand History
The Koenigsegg Story
Koenigsegg was founded in 1994 by 22-year-old Christian von Koenigsegg with the goal of building a world-beating Swedish supercar. Its first production car, the CC8S, arrived in 2002, and the company went on to set numerous speed and performance records with cars such as the Agera RS, which claimed the production-car top-speed record in 2017. Koenigsegg is noted for in-house engineering innovations including camless Freevalve engine technology and extremely light carbon construction.
