Christian von Koenigsegg named this car for Jesko von Koenigsegg, his father, who put money and belief into the company in its earliest and least promising years. It succeeded the Agera in 2019 and entered production in 2020.

Its most discussed component is the gearbox. The Light Speed Transmission is a nine-speed multi-clutch unit with seven wet clutches and no synchromesh, able to shift directly between any two ratios rather than working sequentially through them, and to do so almost instantly. It is compact and light for its ratio count, and nothing else on the market works the same way. Behind it sits a twin-turbocharged V8 with a flat-plane crankshaft in the standard car, running very high boost.

Koenigsegg offers two versions with contradictory aims. The Jesko Attack carries large active aerodynamic devices front and rear and is configured for downforce and circuit lap times. The Jesko Absolut strips them away, lengthens and narrows the tail, adds small stabilising fins and is shaped purely for minimum drag; the company has said it will never build a faster car in that direction. Buyers choose one or the other at order.
