Brand History
The SYM Story
SYM is the brand of Sanyang Motor, founded in Taiwan in 1954 and one of the island's oldest powered two-wheeler manufacturers. The company began with bicycle lamps and engines, later building motorcycles and scooters, and for decades also assembled cars in Taiwan under license, including Honda and later Hyundai models. SYM scooters and motorcycles are exported widely across Asia, Europe, and Latin America.
