Brand History

The Wiesmann Story

Wiesmann is a German sports car manufacturer founded in 1988 in Dülmen by brothers Martin and Friedhelm Wiesmann. The company built retro-styled, hand-crafted roadsters and coupes powered by BMW engines, including the MF3 and the V10-powered GT MF5, with a gecko emblem symbolizing cars that "stick to the road." Wiesmann filed for insolvency in 2013 and was later revived under new ownership.
