Cage's collection was assembled and dispersed largely through the saleroom, which is why it is so well documented. Its centrepiece was a car with a history no money can manufacture: one of six Miura SV/Js, built for the Shah of Iran, seized after the revolution, and bought by Cage in 1997 for what was then a record price for the model.
