Origins
The Artega GT of 2010 emerged from Delbrück with unusual pedigree for a startup: Henrik Fisker styling, a rigid aluminium spaceframe with composite skin, and Volkswagen's 3.6-litre VR6 mounted amidships — 300 horsepower in under 1,200 kilograms, giving Cayman-troubling pace with rarer-than-Ferrari exclusivity. Reviews praised genuine chassis polish; the price matched established rivals, and the badge could not, a familiar boutique equation. Around 150 were built before 2012's insolvency; subsequent owners pivoted the name toward electric projects, including the Scalo, without recapturing momentum. The GT deserves its footnote as the German Alfa that almost was — proof the country's supplier ecosystem could birth a credible sports car outside the establishment, and that credibility alone settles no invoices.
