Origins

Osaka engineering firm Aspark revealed the Owl in 2017 with one governing number: acceleration. The production car, built with Manifattura Automobili Torino in Italy from 2020, claimed 0–60 in under 1.8 seconds from four motors totalling 1,980 horsepower — briefly the quickest-accelerating production car claim on earth — in a full-carbon body barely 99 centimetres tall, honouring the great wedge tradition. Fifty units at 2.9 million euros targeted collectors of superlatives; later speed-record runs for derivative versions extended the programme's publicity. Range and practicality were footnotes by design. The Owl represents hypercar logic's electric endpoint — when torque became effectively unlimited, the remaining contest was launch physics, and Osaka decided to win it.
