The S07 of 2023 translated Deepal's formula into the crossover class: a mid-size electric and range-extended SUV with the brand's clean design language and technology positioning — later versions integrating Huawei assistance hardware — priced into the market's most contested family band. It quickly became the marque's volume engine domestically while spearheading Changan's export push into Southeast Asia and Europe, where Deepal launched as the group's international EV face. The S07's dual career — price-war soldier at home, brand ambassador abroad — typifies the mature strategy of China's majors: one product, two missions, and manufacturing scale making both economics work simultaneously.
