Origins

The Geometry E of 2022 targeted entry-electric demand as subsidies sunset: a subcompact crossover-styled EV with city-focused range and pricing near the market's affordability floor, where Wuling had proven enormous demand existed. Youthful styling and simplified retail courted first-car buyers in smaller cities. It sold usefully in the value segment's churn. The E closed Geometry's brief independent arc — within two years Geely rationalised its electric portfolio under the Galaxy banner, retiring the marque whose products continued under new badges. The E thus documents both a product niche and a strategy phase: the multi-brand experiment ending, consolidation beginning, the industry's Darwinism operating at brand level. Brands die in China faster than models — the E outlived its own badge.
