Origins

Anthony Keating's small Lancashire operation announced the TKR in 2009 with maximalist intent: a mid-engined coupé around supercharged 7-litre Chevrolet-based V8 power claiming past 1,800 horsepower in extreme form, targeting production-car speed records at Bonneville — where timed runs were pursued with the persistence of true obsession. Construction mixed proven American mechanicals with British fabrication; prices undercut established supercars dramatically, reflecting the venture's garagiste scale. Production remained in single figures across the TKR and its siblings, and mainstream recognition never arrived. The TKR belongs to a venerable English species — the speed-record special built on conviction and overtime — and earns its footnote honestly: while giants argued about verified records, Bolton simply kept running the salt.
