Origins
The V9, arriving in 2026, extended Luxeed into the luxury MPV class — China's boardroom-and-family flagship segment where Denza's D9 and Toyota's Alphard mythology ruled — with Huawei's full technology stack wrapped in executive-lounge packaging. The segment's economics rewarded exactly the alliance's strengths: technology-led differentiation, premium pricing, and buyers who shopped in Huawei's stores already. It completed the brand's rapid range architecture — saloon, SUV, MPV inside three years — at a cadence that had become the Chinese market's signature. The V9 stands for the alliance model at maturity: no segment left uncontested, no incumbent granted quiet tenure. Incumbency, in this market, now lasts exactly one product cycle. The Alphard spent twenty years building its Chinese mystique; the V9's makers budgeted twenty months to contest it.
