Origins

Puritalia's Berlinetta of 2020 brought southern Italy into the electrified-performance era: a front-mid V8 supercharged to 750 horsepower paired with a rear electric motor for nearly 1,000 combined — Italy's first hybrid hypercar from outside the establishment — wrapped in carbon coachwork of classical GT proportion rather than wedge aggression. The Naples startup planned 150 units with hand-built exclusivity and AI-flavoured cabin technology in the pitch. Deliveries remained rare; the statement stood regardless. In a decade when Ferrari, Lamborghini and Maserati electrified cautiously, a Neapolitan newcomer productionising the formula first — however small the numbers — extended Italy's oldest automotive tradition: the audacious workshop announcing itself above its weight. The company's ambitions outran its deliveries, but the engineering benchmark it set was real.
