Origins

Brothers Iker and Guillermo Echeverria launched the VUHL 05 in 2015: an open-top, windscreen-free track weapon in the Atom-and-Radical idiom — aluminium monocoque, Ford EcoBoost 2.0 turbo, around 690 kilograms — designed in Mexico City, engineered with international suppliers, and aimed squarely at the global lightweight niche rather than domestic symbolism. The 05RR upgrade brought Focus RS power and sub-2.7-second acceleration claims; exports reached Europe and the Gulf, with the car homologated for road use in key markets. Production stayed boutique by design. Alongside Mastretta's MXT, the 05 announced a Mexican performance-engineering scene: globally fluent, unapologetically niche, and competitive on merit in the most physics-honest segment there is. The brothers' background in industrial design shows in every machined detail — a product, not a project.
