The Apollo Story
Apollo Automobil grew out of Gumpert Sportwagenmanufaktur, founded in 2004 by former Audi engineer Roland Gumpert in Altenburg, Germany, whose track-focused Apollo supercar was renowned for extreme aerodynamic grip. After Gumpert's insolvency, the company was relaunched under new ownership in 2016 as Apollo Automobil and revealed the dramatic, naturally aspirated V12-powered Intensa Emozione (IE).
