Origins
The Intensa Emozione of 2019 was Apollo's manifesto against its era: a 6.3-litre naturally aspirated V12 revving to 9,000 rpm — no turbochargers, no hybrid assistance — in a full carbon chassis wearing aerodynamics of racing-prototype violence, producing 1,350 kilograms of downforce. Ten units at 2.3 million dollars sold to collectors specifically starved of analogue extremity; the shrieking soundtrack became its calling card across the internet. Track-focused with road capability rather than the reverse, the IE established reborn Apollo's identity beyond the Gumpert inheritance: not fastest-in-a-straight-line, but purest-in-feeling. In the electrified 2020s its stance reads as founding text for the analogue-hypercar niche the wealthy would increasingly pay to preserve. Few cars this rare have shaped a niche this visibly; the IE's imitators now form a small industry.
