Brand History

The Dongfeng Story

Dongfeng traces its origins to 1969, when China established the Second Automobile Works in Shiyan, Hubei province, as a state truck manufacturer. Renamed Dongfeng ('east wind'), it grew into one of China's largest automotive groups, building passenger cars through long-running joint ventures with Nissan, Honda, and PSA/Stellantis. In recent years it has pushed its own brands, including Aeolus, the premium electric marque Voyah, and the off-road EV brand M-Hero.
