Brand History

The Force Motors Story

Force Motors was founded in 1958 by N.K. Firodia as Bajaj Tempo, initially building German-licensed Tempo three-wheelers and light commercial vehicles in Pune. Renamed Force Motors in 2005, the company became known for the Traveller van, Trax utility vehicles and the Gurkha off-roader. It is also a significant contract manufacturer, assembling engines and axles for Mercedes-Benz and BMW's Indian operations.
