Brand History
The Iso Story
Iso began as Isothermos, a Milanese maker of refrigerators and heaters acquired by Renzo Rivolta, and moved into scooters, motorcycles and then microcars. Its 1953 Isetta bubble car achieved worldwide fame after the design was licensed to BMW. In the 1960s the company reinvented itself as Iso Rivolta, building glamorous grand tourers such as the Iso Rivolta GT and the Grifo, which paired Italian styling with American V8 power.

Iso ceased car production in 1974 amid the oil crisis and financial difficulties, though the name has occasionally been revived for limited-edition projects.
