Brand History
The Leapmotor Story
Leapmotor was founded in Hangzhou in 2015 by Zhu Jiangming, a co-founder of surveillance technology firm Dahua, with a focus on in-house developed electric vehicle technology. It grew rapidly with value-priced EVs such as the T03 city car and C-series SUVs, and in 2023 Stellantis bought a significant stake and formed Leapmotor International to sell the cars outside China.
