Brand History
The Nissan Story
Nissan's roots go back to 1911, and to the Datsun small cars of the 1930s; the Nissan name was adopted in 1933. It became Japan's export pioneer, and its Z sports cars and Skyline GT-R earned cult status worldwide. The 1999 alliance with Renault rescued the company, and the 2010 Leaf was the world's first mass-market electric car.
