Brand History

The Pierce-Arrow Story

Pierce-Arrow of Buffalo, New York evolved from the George N. Pierce Company, building its first car in 1901 and becoming one of America's 'Three Ps' of prestige motoring alongside Packard and Peerless. Its cars were famed for fender-mounted headlamps, a patented signature, and were favored by the White House and wealthy buyers. Studebaker bought the company in 1928, and after regaining independence in 1933 it could not survive the Depression.
