Brand History
The Pininfarina Story
Pininfarina was founded in Turin in 1930 by Battista 'Pinin' Farina as a coachbuilding house, and grew into the world's most celebrated automotive design firm. Its decades-long collaboration with Ferrari, beginning in the early 1950s, produced many of the most admired car shapes in history, alongside designs for Alfa Romeo, Peugeot, Fiat and others. India's Mahindra Group acquired the company in 2015, and in 2018 the separate Automobili Pininfarina was created to build cars under the storied name, starting with the electric Battista hypercar.
