Brand History
The Trumpchi Story
Trumpchi is the passenger car brand of China's GAC Group (Guangzhou Automobile Group), launched in 2010 as the state-owned company's move into self-developed vehicles after years of joint ventures with Honda and Toyota. The name derives from 'Chuanqi,' meaning 'legend' in Chinese. The brand grew quickly on the strength of SUVs such as the GS4 and GS8 and the M8 luxury MPV.
