Brand History
The Ultima Story
The Ultima marque originated in the 1980s with designer Lee Noble's group-C-inspired kit car, and Ultima Sports Ltd was formed in 1992 by Ted Marlow to take over production in Hinckley, England. The GTR gained fame for extraordinary straight-line performance with big American V8 power, setting numerous independent performance benchmarks, and early Ultima chassis were famously used by McLaren as development mules for the F1.
